The JTAG and the RGH are 2 different things that accomplish the same task.

The jtag is a hardware hack where you solder to the debug ports on the xbox 360 motherboard to flash the nand (bios chip) with a modified nand so you can run unsigned code and get around microsofts security measures. For an xbox to be jtagable it has to have a dash older than 2.0.8000, i think 2.0.7173 is the last jtagable dash. If you can eject a game from an xbox 360 with the controller then the xbox is not jtagable.

The RGH (reset glitch hack) is another hardware modification that uses a modchip that can take a current dump of your nand and make it boot off a replacement nand by using pulses from the hana chip (timing attack/glitch) to reset the processor and trick it to run unsigned code. You can use this with any xbox because it's using it's own chip, not the one on the xbox. Once you get a dump of your current nand you flash the replacement then install the replacement with a tutorial.

I would stick with xecuter (they're the big name in modding and have been since the scene took off). The cool runner chips are really easy to install and are way better and faster than trying to piece together your own kit. Also the nand-x is a great tool to have and has a usb interface. Trying to do things the old fashioned way (serial interface) takes forever and can even be a bit unsafe.

Jtag is just a method to get homebrew on your console. To get a console to play mw2 and mw3 mods such as lobbies and what not you will need a modded console which is able to play unsigned code. - hacks are not software signed by microsoft.

Now I will go over the 3 mods you mentioned.

The Xkey is just a ODD emulator. It will emulate your disc drive so that you can play ISO files from a external hard drive. It will not allow you to play game mods.

The other 2 mods, RGH and JTAG - the old and original hack to play homebrew on the console - will allow you to play game mods such as lobbies and other things. These two mods will also allow you to play games from your hard drive, download and play xbla games, DLC, avatar items, and emulators. It will also allow you to run homebrew apps such as freestyle dash and real xbox experience. The downside to these hacks/mods is that if you go on live you will be banned within 4 hours.

I do these hacks a lot for money and everyone is very pleased with my work. I would not suggest you attempt any of this without a lot of research and practice on a dead motherboard. You basically need to solder a ball on to the E of a penny to perform the RGH/Jtag hack. If you want more information or help email me at dahlonl@yahoo.com I am always up to helping people out. Also if you're just looking at buying another xbox I have brand new xboxes never been used that I'm selling that are completely ready to go.
