I can't send messages on Xbox LIVE?

Question

Every time I try to send a message is says, "your message could not be sent" is anyone else having this problem? I can't invite people to my Xbox live party either. Is this an Internet problem or Xbox problem?

Yeah I just asked the same thing then I went to http://support.xbox.com/en-CA/xbox-live-status to see what the status was and it said

Users may experience difficulties with the following services:

Sending text or voice messages to other Xbox LIVE members

Receiving game invitations or notifications

Viewing messages

Thank gosh I'm not the only one with this problem! It let's me sign in but it says I have 0 friends on my friends list and it also won't allow me to accept friend requests or send messages. I have no clue what the problem is,but whatever it is better be fixed soon. It seems like lately this is a norm with Microsoft.

It's an Internet problem, it's happened to me :/... Try restarting your router or disconnect from your internet source then connect again.
