So my old email was on my Microsoft account and the email got deleted and I have a new one now, but Xbox live wants me to sign into my Microsoft account but I don't know the password and they can't send it to a deleted email. So how can I change my Microsoft email address without actually getting signed into it? Or will I lose my account? Please help

Hey there

I'm Nathan from the Xbox Live Program.

If you still have your xbox live account on your xbox 360 and can sign into it with no error code then this task is

simple. If not, then please go to https://support.xbox.com

Then click onto contact us. However please do not click onto chat with an ambassador as we do not have the tools to look into your account as we are NOT microsoft employees.

If you do have your account then you can either:

Go to https://account.live.com

Enter your email address and password, then press enter

You get your error code

Click onto forgot password

Click onto can not use these options

Fill out an account rececovery form for your account

However if this option does not work, please ring xbox support on 0800 4my xbox

If you want, you can createa new account that is a Microsoft account Please go to your xbox 360 and follow these instructions

Sign into your account

Scroll right to settings

Click onto account mannagment

Click onto change email address that is assosiated with your xbox live account.

For the account recovery, I'm not too sure if it will work if your account hasn't been used for more than 365 days.

If you have any more problems with your microsoft account, please go to the microsoft forums.

If you have any more issues with your xbox or xbox live account (gamertag), please go to https://support.xbox.com or https://forums.xbox.com
