download xbox 360 media update from pc, then transfer it to my 360?

Question

I have a friend i gave DIVX video files to play on his 360. he is unable to connect his 360 to the internet to download the media update to play these files. can i get this update from downloading it from the internet and then putting it on a jump drive to install on his my 360? thanks!

It tells you how to download the patches, burn them to DVD and then run them on the XBox.

He must have a very old xbox beacuse the only media update I remeber was in 2007 and are on games that come out after that update so if he has played any newer games then it should be lready up to date, you can cheeck on xbox.com to see if you can just download it but I think you have to burn it to a disk

Nowhere for new. Ebay or Craigslist for used. Premium come with wireless controller. Get PS3.
