What are some good alternatives to Call of Duty?

I'm absolutely sick of all the hackers and quick-scoping n00bs in COD 4 online and MW2. It appears Infinity Ward has no intention of doing anything about all the bugs in their game, and I don't want to support them by trying another COD title (which I hear are also being hacked now). I also don't want to hear a bunch of 14 year old boys trying to convince me that quick-scoping is ub3r 1337 and that I suck because I like to use sniper rifles at a distance.
I just want a good online team shooter that isn't full of griefers, cheaters and cheap crap. I'd like to have fun playing a game the way it was meant to be played. Is that too much to ask?
Anyway, any good alternatives for Xbox 360 would be much appreciated.

Yeah, COD is pretty over-rated if you asked me.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is great alternative to COD - Best thing about it is that their is pretty much NO camping in that game because every single wall can be blown up and even demolished. It's also a heavy team-based game with squad cooperation being vital. There isn't any hackers, period. There is some quick/no scoping involved but it's all luck really...More of a laugh when a sniper waits around a corner for you and headshots you because it's so unlikely. Lets see..The vehicle combat is by far the best on the market, really fun to use and a good mix of spawn time and numbers spawned to keep them from being unfair and over-used. There is also gravity involved when shooting things like explosive weapons (Tanks and RPGs) and snipers at a distance which adds more realism and satisfaction when you headshot someone from a mile away :). Your team will talk to eachother without you ever having to touch the mic, They can things about needing ammo, reloading, taking fire, charging objectives and so on. The game is pretty cheap to I got my copy on ebay for about 20 bucks and it's a top 3 FPS in just about everyones book. The other 2 being Black Ops and Halo:Reach. The reason I'm reccomending Battlefield 2 and not Reach is because reach is Sci-Fi shooter that also has a different type of multi-player that is not anywhere close to what COD is and you asked for an alternative - not just another FPS.

First, quit playing while listening to others in the game. That was ruining it for me.

I've been playing MW2 lately, & on most maps, there's maybe 2 guys quickscoping. Last month I played COD4, & over half the guys were doing it. Plus, they'd just barely pay attention to the objective of the game.

MW2 is still gonna give you a good game a couple of hours a night. You do realize that there are about 20+ types of game types to choose from? Like ones that don't allow killstreaks.

Try Hardcore.

Black Ops is similar but with even fewer quick-scopers than MW2.

Battlefield 3 leaps ahead of its time with the power of Frostbite 2, DICE’s new cutting-edge game engine. This state-of-the-art technology is the foundation on which Battlefield 3 is built, delivering superior visual quality, a grand sense of scale, massive destruction, dynamic audio and incredibly lifelike character animations.

In my opinion Halo is the best Fps of all time, try checking that out. If you want something cod-like, try checking out Battlefield 3 once it comes out, or get Homefront which is a very underrated game.

Ouch. There is none. Some would say Medal of Honor, but I think those are rated the same now as well, and they're terrible games anyway.

Halo is way better than COD, so I would sugest that
