when i play modern warfare 2, my fingers basically overreact and i move the joystick farther then they need to go and i miss the person iam shooting at. i tried to put it on a lower sensitivity but that doesnt completely solve the problem, also i cant turn around fast enough to shoot someone behind me.
so any tips on how to use the controller better would be appreciated.

oh man i remember going from golden eye on N64 and those games then when you had to switch to what i refer to as Duel Analog Stick Configuration or DASC, it was like learning to play video games all over again. As dumb as it sounds, practice, the more you play the more you will get used to playing in Duel Analog Stick Configuration. Try not to jam on the sticks as they are sensitive to the degree you push them. Instead try to use smoother motions but in MW2 your still going to have to be quick about it. The other thing you can do is like you said, adjust the sensitivity. Pro Tip: know one can turn around fast enough in MW2. your best bet is to play smart and try to avoid getting shot in the back. play smart stick to cover, watch your UAV.

First, put your sensitivity on 5. That's medium, this should be slow and fast enough for you to play.

It's all about getting use to them.

Add me on Xbox LIVE so I can practice with you; iHorizons v2

I would play the game on single player on the easiest difficulty setting so you can get used to it without getting your *** handed to you. Another thing you can do is play a slower paced game like Gears of War.
