I have contacted Xbox support, at first nothing worked..after having me do the IP and DNS settings manually the connection finally worked, but only to the network. not to the internet and not to the Xbox live servers. My Xbox and my laptop are connected to my linksys router (Ethernet cable from Xbox to router, wireless from laptop to router) and my internet on my computer runs fine but whenever I try to connect to Xbox Live I keep getting the error message "Your DNS server can't resolve Xbox LIVE server names". I practically tried everything. here are the results of my ipconfig /all:

Who is your ISP and where are you living?

I ask because your DNS servers are pointing to Qatar. Don't use those for your DNS unless you're actually living in Qatar.

DNS, stnads for "Domain Name System" This is a system designed to translate domain names into something humans can make sense of. And use World-Wide.

A good way of looking at this is your DNS System: Acts as Phone-book, Translating IP adresses and Hostnames into something you are able to make sense of.

If this helps at all, Heres something to read A bit on:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_Name_System

Its hard to say for sure what is wrong with out being there. but I'm sure if you do alittle research, You'll manage :)

From what I'm hearing tho, It sounds as if your DNS is not able to translate The Xbox Live server names into what it is supposed to.

If I were you, I would keep contacting Xbox-Live and Possibly,Possibly! Your Internet provider to see if they can be of any help.

But First I would do some research to know what your dealing with.

PS: I would watch what you post up here. Theres alot of personal information in what you posted. :P
