Mass effect 2, didn't receive import bonuses?

Question

I imported my level 56, rich achievment character from ME1 but I didn't get any of the import bonuses, how did that happen? My decisions made in the first game have been taken into account (he decisions that I know of and have been mentioned) so that's working fine. Could this have happened because I got the "Long service medal" bonus already? I had completed 2 playthroughs of ME2 before playing ME1, I then imported my ME1 character and received the Long sevice medal bonuses but not the import bonuses, did the long service medal bonus somehow override the import bonus?

Although I did read in the wiki that those bonuses are supposed to stack.... so what's the deal here?

This has been bugging me because if the game couldn't recognize the import bonuses, maybe some other past decisions didn't import aswell

So basically my questions are:

1. How and why did this happen?
2. Can I fix it? (Or will it work fine if I just restart and import again)
3. If I can't fix it, did my decisions from ME1 possibly not import correctly either?

You should likely do a test to see if it imported correctly. I create a new character in ME2, choosing to import a file from ME1. Make absolute sure that you have chosen the correct file.



Your character was level 56, so right off the bat, when you start off in ME2, you SHOULD be a level 3, with 2,000 XP. As you mentioned, you had the rich achievement from ME1, so you should also start the game with 100,000 credits, plus the 30,000 credits for having a level 56 import. If those aren't correct, you've got a problem. If they are correct, you're good so far. At the start of ME2, they give you a brief synopsis of the major choices you had made in ME1. Make sure they all match up.



If you didn't get the credits or experience, I would recommend putting in ME1 and loading that save file. Go ahead and make another save file and then try to import that one in to ME2 instead. That may solve it.
