Why haven't they announced the release date for the Xbox One yet?

Question

Weren't they supposed to have released the release date at their press conference at Gamescom? I thought it was supposed to come out yesterday but I guess not. Could their reversal of their features delay the release date? Maybe because they aren't releasing it in some countries right away it could take longer for them to fix it's issues. I saw the PS4 is coming out November 15th and I thought the Xbox One was coming first (if that's the case they're gonna be pushing it I think).

You're probably right over the reversal being the reason the xbox1 reveal was the worst reveal I've seen in over 20 years of reveals bloody awful. I don't really care what MS do I'm getting the PS4 I'm an xbox owner. The ramifications of that reveal and reversal have damaged xbox badly it may never recover my gut feeling is this the last xbox we'll see MS do 10 years from now we'll see them go back to software, Why do I think that the machines focus is vague compared to the PS4. The impression they've given me is A) anybody outside the US don't matter B) they don't care about gamers and the console market that's why they did it. C) They suck. Its been a PR disaster for them I bet they wished they hadn't bothered

@Joker To be honest really i don't care about brand loyalty i never liked gears and halo is old and boring and MS will throttle whatevers left of them in terms of life. Sony is offering more games better specs and overall the most advanced gaming system in the world. If a console manufactrer fails to respect that they work for me. I go somewhere else. MS failed in such a spectacular historically significant way the ignorance alone is astionishing. I'll never do business with MS again

Microsoft is still making changes on Xbox one as they read their fan feed back commonly saying "Leaving to PS4, ETC." They just read what those group of people hate and try to fix it to bring them back.
