if you cant talk but you can here then you need to unmute your mic so first you go to personal settings and then you can see mic setting's are something and then you unmute it then tada you can talk

you either move the button or go to personal settings and unmute it there.

xbox 360? simple if its not the switch on the mic itself then press the xbox guide button the Personal setting or mic setting. find the mic and simply uncheck the mute mic option.
