Specs are almost useless to use as a comparison, because unless u understand the specs and the testing methods used, it means dribble.

AMD and Intel for example, if we would have a 3.2ghz intel and a 2.8ghz AMD, you would find they will perform on most things the same. If u had a 3.2ghz AMD it would leave the intel in the dust, but because each cpu has its unique diferences, it = diferent specs and results. Meaning u cant simply trust specs.

Also like Sony and Microsoft, when they use polygon tests for their consoles, they do it via mostly with maths and with controlled guidlines which = a frig load of polygons...which sorry to say no game has ever acheived.

because unlike Nintendo who didnt use maths or restricted methods to show their polygon specs, they ran the console with everything graphically turned on and being used to the max and meassured it, like any sparky would when checking the power to a point.

this resulted in xbox and ps2 having huge polygon counts and gamecube having a crap one, but if u folowed purely of spec, u would have been totaly misleed. because specs said xbox and ps2 should have on a polygo lvl wooped the cubes **** yet they didnt even get close.

However the basic thing is the xbox360 has everything updated and improved of the orginal xbox, so what ever it could do before, it can do it faster and better, so not only does it perform better internally, it looks better visually on ya tv screen, depending on the game developers ofcoarse, but its now much easier to get the better graphics then what the xbox had.

Games wont be better on the 360 just because it can do better graphics the xbox, often better graphics take moretime and games gameplay (what makes it fun) go into decline. So it looks cool and may even be cool the 1st time, but u find the game colects dust soon after, graphics are a part of gameplay, but u know when u ahve good gameplay when u play the game for months without getting bored. this can be acheived on either console and even if u plug in a mega drive right now.

There are also more options and future features available on the 360, as the original xbox will eventually turn into your megadrive, i wont say SNES because SNES had that many games on pure gameplay, it just wont ever die, while the xbox was mostly a machine around games on graphics, which die as the graphics become redundant.

Anyways 360 should be a priority, not the old console, eventually u will probably get to play old console games on a future xbox, just as nintendo has done anyways.

You can look up the specs by going to almost any xbox website, which will even show comaprisons to other web sites, but facts are specs are specs and even many tech head get lulled into a false pretence, they mean the same across the board, when they dont, as many tech heads never do much physical hands on fault testing and manual soldering work to begin with on a component lvl, were factual understanding on the parts, specifications and their use is highly important.

The XBOX 360 is Microsoft's new gaming console. If you ever want to play any new games you have to get one. All XBOX 360 consoles are exactly the same internally. So, if you got an Arcade model and bought a 120GB HDD you would have a white XBOX 360 Elite. The graphics on the 360 are much better.

The harddrive space - xbox is **** like 10gb, where as 360 gan go up to 120gb. Other differences - processor speed in 360 is 30 times faster than normal xbox. thirdly the 360 accepts wireless controlers where as the xbox doesnt. Loads more :D
