Help me pick the perfect Xbox 360 game please! I need some opinions.?

Question

ok ive saved up enough money for one good xbox game. i enjoy shooting games very much but im getting sick of call of duty mw2 and need a single player game. i enjoyed the creepy/spookiness of fallout 3 as well as the smooth gameplay and mysteries of assasians creed 2. ive been thinking of buying these games:
Dantes inferno (demo was pretty fun)
Mass effect 2. (do i need to get the play the original one to understand the story?)
Bioshock 2. (again, do i need to play the original first?)
Splinter cell conviction (again, was there a game before this?)
p.s. I'd be happy to buy the previous games if its worth following up.

Mass Effect 2 i heard from a friend that it is amazing...

I want it really badly



I also heard that Dantes Inferno is amazing



I just bought Bioshock 2 but I only finished about 1/8th of the first... my bro says to finish the first before playing it... I started it and it is great... (I love killing big sisters)



I would rent Mass Effect 1 or Bioshock 1 first before deciding to buy the sequels... I played Mass Effect 1 and it sucked...



My final answer for you would be to rent bioshock 1, finish it, and buy bioshock 2.

Anything Bioware creates is gold. So Mass Effect 2 would be a great choice, playing the first one first would help a little with back-story and whatnot though. Dragon Age : Origins is another Bioware single RPG game that is available for Xbox 360.



Bioshock 2 looks great as well, but again might want to play the first Bioshock before diving into the second one. The story is brilliant and you will need that back story for the second game to truly appreciate it.



Have you played God of War 1 &2? Bayonetta is also a great game to play, Dante's Inferno as well.

My vote goes to Mass Effect 2. You dont have to play the first one but if you do you can use that character on this one. Then when you beat it you get two achievements instead of just one. There is plenty of people and aliens to shoot and many planets to explore. If you want, the first one is a greatest hit and i think only costs 20 now. I played the first Bioshock and wasn't impressed enough to spend 60 for pt 2. Wait until its 30 bucks.

I think Mass Effect 2 would be perfect for you. You don't need to have played the first to understand the story, a lot of the previous story can be explained through dialog if you just ask. It's a very good single player game with plenty of replay value.

get bioshock 1 and mass effect 1. 2 great games, sure there not new but there both very solid titles i say play em both and if you dont like one u have the other to fall back on, and if u like the 1st to save a bit of of money for the sequels.
