problems creating profile on xbox 360 250gb console?

it says, 'to create a profile on this console, connect a memory unit or USB storage device and select continue'

we put in a 2gb memory stick with 1.62gb of memory still free on the stick. but when we press continue nothing happens.

I imagine your hard drive isn't inserted correctly. This is a problem with the 250GB consoles when they are first bought.

Press the guide button on your controller and scroll all the way to the right. Choose system settings and when the next screen loads choose memory. If it doesn't come up saying Hard Drive then follow then turn the console off lay it on it's side and look at the bottom. Towards the back of the console is a sliding button. Use this to remove to hard drive cover. Inside should be something that looks almost like a 8 track cassette. Make sure this is pushed right in. You should have no problem making a profile now.

ok. Im sorry yet I choose human beings could look at different solutions. I also have a 360 and a ps3. i like them relating to a similar even regardless of the incontrovertible fact that the 360 has issues and the ps3 has nowhere close to as many. the hot 360 technically doesnt have the "RROD" as absolutely everyone calls it, besides the undeniable fact that it nonetheless has the project. The chips are a similar and a small little fan has been extra, however the fan doesnt help plenty. The chip nonetheless melts, yet now it isnt lined by guarantee. Try making it on the 250g hard-drive instead and when you do that it you wont it on the USB just copy it to that.
