is the Xbox 360 Slim's fan supposed to be loud?

is the Slim's fan supposed to speed up very loud and fast a lot during game play? its very loud and annoying, happens too frequently, and I am wondering if just mines defective? its even louder than the disc tray!

its theoretically 'whisper quiet', ive heard a few and theyre quieter than a PS3.

it sounds like yours might be defective. suggest take it back where you bought it, its in warranty. say its making a loud noises. if you're worried about your game data, you can just swa over the hard drive if they swap it over for a new one for you

No it is not suppose to be loud, mine isn't. If you have the 250 gb I suggest you try to install a game to your hard drive to see if that makes it any more slient.

if u very own Xbox 360 slender 250GB hdd, you could set up the video games you like maximum on your hdd.. it reduces the loud sound , even facilitates greater valuable overall performance , ie: shorter load situations, much less framerate subject concerns, etc.
