I very recently got an Xbox 360. I haven't opened it yet and am going to wait until Christmas. I have a very big problem, though. I have DSL Lite from AT&T and my internet speed is 500 kbps download and 100 kbps upload. I think that this is enough to connect to Xbox Live since it says Xbox Live only requires broadband internet, which I have. To connect to Xbox Live for the first time does the Xbox conduct a speed test to figure out your internet speed or does it just see that you have broadband internet and allow you to connect automatically? I always played online on my Wii and computer with this internet flawlessly and with just 50 ping. I just don't know if I will be allowed to join Xbox live with this internet? Will the xbox stop me by sensing my internet is too slow? I called a Microsoft Agent and he said I might be able to connect but its not guaranteed. Would it be guaranteed because I could play games online on my wii and that requires broadband? Thank you.
