If you have no issue with privacy concerns you're a sheep. It doesn't matter if someone has anything to hide, in fact if you don't have anything to hide you are even more entitled to privacy. Not to mention they don't let you physically unplug the kinect while gaming, you do realize even if you set the privacy settings and the kinect is seemingly off it's possible to turn it back on server side right? Don't even get me started on that bullshit DRM, what happens when they stop support the console? Will it brick? Will they stop the DRM? And if they can stop it, why keep it in place when most of the internet is up in arms about it, not to mention that microsoft employees are openly antagonizing the consumers. The more you accept restrictions, the more restrictions are imposed on you, and do not give me that Steam analogy because even steam doesn't have 24 hour check-ins. They should cater to us, the consumers not the other way around.

Ok man you're just in denial. First of all the Xbone One is $100 more. And you have to have an internet connection. So for some people that might mean paying $100 extrea dallors for an axbox one, and $100 more for a good internet connection. Plus membership which is $60 a year. When i can just go get a PS4 for basicly $200 less. And the xbox one makes you log in every day.

What exactly do you base your premise on Xbox being a better console? That sounds like an ambiguous uneducated statement with absolutely no supporting evidence. What exactly can the Xbox do that the PlayStation can't? PlayStation just does it cheaper.

Well, this doesn't really seem like a question to me. So, basically, are you just saying, "I think the Xbox One is better than the ps4; agree with me."? If that is the case, I have no idea which is better as neither have come out yet. I think they will both be great products, but I won't know until I've played on both systems. But to answer your "question", the Xbox one certainly has the potential to be a better product than the ps4, yet the converse is also true. I hope this has been a satisfying answer.

Neither, build your own computer. That's what I'm gonna do. Consoles like Xbox and PS4 are just low-grade computers in "fancy" little boxes. The problem is that if you want to upgrade your graphics card, RAM, hard drive, etc., -- you can't with a console. With a desktop computer, however, you can do ALL of that AND actually get work done with it. Anything you want to do on a console can be done on a computer and then some. If you don't wanna though, take if from a Xbox360 owner, get the PS4. Better price, graphics, system. Sure there's no "Halo" but whatev's. Also, you won't get a built in Kinect you don't want.

Ps4 is the best console. You could use your friends Games and play with it. And the memory is faster. The console dosent need to be all the while on the internet ( so it reaches out towards worldwide where most countries dont have much internet connection ) And the games would be fabulous in future with a tougher expanded hardware than the x-box one in comparison and game-functioning statistics. Ps4 would rock once it incorporates a backwards compatibility with it's emulators which would surely appear as any emulator that's ever made for any console, not just cloud based. Ps4 can function just with it's dual shock controller. And nobody really needs the camera except for just a few video games. And the ps4 certainly would function more with the camera. The ps4 seems to be good from these standpoint. I see the x-box one has got more options software based. But the Ps4 hardware simply has more future energy to it as in future games could turn out really hard core with the added ram benefits and the speeds. In future , every one knows the homebrew really looks scarey to see the umpteen amounts you could have with your system which makes anyone happy. The happiest is all Ps4 when I weigh all these.

Dude I understand how people are complaining about the Xbox one but in the long run it will be better than than the ps4 sure it's more expensive and you have to connect to the enternet but that doesn't seem much like a problem to me and my friends I mean I don't consider anybody buying a consle if your not going to connect to the internet everybody knows that Xbox live is way better to connect with family and friends than the playstation network it's even more fun and exciting. I have playstaion network and it's nothing compared to the Xbox lives that's for sure but if I were you I would buy a Xbox one don't let all the negativity stop you from buying it

Ok, to end the entire debate, look at the facts- PS4 will have 18 Computer units and xbox one will only have 12, so yes PS4 will have more sharper graphics thank xbox one, However in the battle for a new experience In gaming the Xbox has stepped up and changed the way we look at entertainment with feature that the PS4 can not supply. I am a fan of both systems and have both systems preordered because I play exclusive games on both so I am not taking side I do feel the ps4 will be a better realistic gaming system but I am more anxious to play the Xbox one because let's be realistic, who is gonna play the game 24/7. I like watching tv also and the new things the Xbox one has brought as for as controlling all of entertainment tv, Internet, music, and gaming is something very new and authentic. it's the future of gaming and that's what xbox focused on for the new system. Alot of you say that playstation is better because it's gonna be 100 dollars cheaper but you fail to realize that is only because the ps4 does not come with the camera sensor and the xbox comes with the kinect, if you buy the ps4 sensor that's an extra 60 something bucks so in actuality you are only payin 30 something more for the Xbox. Fans will stay true to their systems and that is respected but I truly think everyone should try the new Xbox because it's bringing futuristic ideas and gaming to life, it's not just an updated xbox 360.

I'm sorry, i don't want to sound mean and all but first: this question should be change to "Xbox one is better than the ps4, who agrees with me?". Second, you're the one misinformed here, you don't know about all the things about the xbox one:

Xbox one: It's less powerful than the ps4 (It uses DDR3, which is 50% less powerfull), It needs a 780p or HDTV to function (fact), it's kinnect mandatory (if your kinnect dies, your xbox one dies), it needs to connect every 24 hours to the internet, it uses heavily the clouds (this is why it needs to connect) meaning that if Ms shuts down xbox live or something happens, you lose all your games (Money wasted), and yes, the kinnect does have the potential to spy on you, it has skype and TV integrated which is useless since people have skype on the computer and already has a TV, It NEED to be connected to your cable box to be able to function as a TV, you can't lend games, only give them, you still have to pay xbox live so you can be able to pay for netflix and all of that for $100 more.

Get the xbox one if you want but you're not changing anybody's opinion, people now have their minds set on what console they want and you're probably in the minority, Ps4 won E3 by 81%, Microsoft second place by 12% and Nintendo by 7%. Ps4 destroyed Xbox one. Not only that, the ps4 is having good pre-orders in the U.S.A. imagine how they are doing worldwide.

Okay, this is from a perspective of a computer programmer and engineer. While the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One have very similar specifications, the Playstation 4 does in fact have an edge over the Xbox One in hardware. Additionally, Microsoft requires internet check-ins, as well as the kinect to be constantly on in order for the United States government to furthermore spy on citizens - as Microsoft will make money this way as well. They do not care about your privacy, nor will they honor your rights. Read the fine print in their Terms of Use and Privacy Policies for more information.

Sony is more respectable, which is why their console dominated in E3 and will be the top gaming console; however, no console can compare to the power available by using a PC.

1. Anyone saying "you always have to be connected to the internet" and citing it as a negative is stupid. They probably play PC games which are all now universally online, the most played of which (WoW and LoL) have to be online at all times anyway. Their smart TV's and blu-ray players are always online, as are their cell phones.

THIS DOESN'T MATTER. IT'S A POINT THAT RENDERS AN ARGUMENT INVALID.

2. "$100 more??" $100 more is admittedly an eyesore in terms of sticker shock, but guess what? The Xbox One has a gazillion more features than the PS4. Those claiming they don't care about the features are in the minority in terms of the target audience. Hardcore gamers are in the SLIM minority from an entertainment standpoint, as cloud computing, apps, and mobile integration are taking over. If you can't see that, you're blind. Microsoft hasn't gotten where it is by making stupid business decisions. Valve went through the same criticism with Steam, yet 99% of PC gamers today wouldn't know where they would be without it.

YOU'RE PAYING FOR A MEDIA CENTER, NOT A GAMING CONSOLE. XBOX ONE IS MORE EQUIPPED FOR THIS THAN THE PS4.

3. "PS4 will have better graphics!" Well, that's negligible. If you have a computer with a GTX Titan, and another next to it with a GTX 460, you won't see a difference in the visuals of a game. Games will be written to specifically take advantage of the hardware in the machines, and since the majority of buyers will own nothing better than 1080p, no human eye will be able to detect a difference anyway. The cross-platform games showed no difference whatsoever, and the exclusives will be a matter of preference. Furthermore, the PS3 allegedly had better graphics than the 360, but the 360 still acquired more publishers, and took over the market share from Sony with ease.

4. "Kinect will be spying on you!" So does your email, tablet, and cell phone. Are you going to get rid of those? The problem there is the government, not the companies selling the hardware. You do realize that you don't own the digital content you type, upload, search for, etc, right? That's owned by the companies who provide the service, and the government granted those companies exemptions from privacy suits in exchange to freely peruse the data. It's under the guise of safety and organization, but it's really to shape cultural opinion and control voter turnout. That should enrage you, not the guys at Microsoft laughing at someone biffing in their living room.

DON'T BE A FOOL AND ASSUME SONY WON'T INTRODUCE A "MOVE" OR SIMILAR PIECE OF HARDWARE DOWN THE ROAD.

5. "I don't want all those features. I just want to play my games!!!" Well, then you are quickly slipping into the minority. The whiners are almost exclusively hardcore gamers, and they may number in the thousands. Both of these systems will sell in the millions. Consoles are no longer about the gamers. PS4 is a relic in this regard, because there simply aren't as many gamers as there are people who want general entertainment. For this reason, the Xbox One will outsell the PS4, no matter how wild the midnight release is, and no matter how loud the whining.

6. "No used or old games from previous generations!!!" Upon release. No word if that's permanent. Besides, game rental is an absolutely dying industry, and very few play games from previous generations once they get the new stuff anyway. The numbers reflect that absolutely, not relatively (nor is that an opinion).

7. "The One is too exclusive/locked down!!!" Said the idiot who probably owns an Apple product. Funny thing is, if Apple released a media center device that played games, people would be lining up and singing its praises. Microsoft will have a media device that cuts down on what people need to have in their entertainment center, while also playing top tier games. Not only that, the Xbox exclusives have, and will always blow Sony's out of the water. Titanfall and Halo will mash anything Sony can come up with, and Gears of War will continue to perform well too.

8. "Microsoft doesn't care about their customers; only money!!!" Well, if that were true, millions of people wouldn't buy their stuff. Plain and simple. Customer satisfaction is proven by the number of wallets that open for a product. They can't make you buy anything if you don't want it.

Finally, The Xbox One will be fully integrated into the Microsoft Ecosystem. Your mobile device, computer/laptop/tablet, and Xbox will be able to share, store, and exchange information. The PS4 will fall well short here, because Sony doesn't have the market share, or the street cred Microsoft does.

Well I'm probably going for the Xbox cause its a better value . cause the kinect is waaaaay superior to the ps eye which by the way doesnt even come with the ps4 and is 60 dollar extra for it. Also the kinnect is worth equal if not more than than a controller . they have a trick the could pull for some games but for the guy who added in the 100 dollars for internet u can't add that in cause internet isn't just for Xbox . however the for the strategy , let's say all Xbox games went no used .(Less-intelctual answer: Nooooo that's terrible). My answer smart idea if used correctly , because u cut out the third party who r reselling games by doing so letting profit go to the publisher directly. Publisher will get more money cause of Microsoft , publisher helps them out by making it cheaper . so instead of 60-70 dollar games u could see 40-50$ games. Also is Xbox live people can get 2 free games a month . how much does a low level game cost , let's say 10 dollars . 20$ value of games a month . everyone do the math 20$ × 12 months =240$ yearly . which is worth more ( by the way this wasn't just to answer your question but to let the PlayStation finaticks understand value a little more )

Ok if you look at the specs the PS4 is slightly better that the Xbox one but I would go for the Xbox one though because it's a future console just like you said the PS4 looks boring to me because they said that the kinect 2 can read your heart beat and is many time more accurate than the first kinect and you can watch your favorite shows and Movies and play games while your on Skype talking to your friends it's like your computer you can have many tabs open at once and this is at a price of $500 PS4 might be fast and cheaper but it doesn't have the details like the Xbox one has...Oh and another thing you can pause the game or your show or movie and turn off your Xbox and turn it back on and games or show or movie will be still paused. Don't believe what the PS4 fan boys say like they said that the kinect 2 will spy on you in your living room that's just rumors and if they did just put a cloth or a towel over it and the PS4 fan boys and there company is putting the **** in the xbox one's face but if you don't like nether of them then just get the PC you can get a good gaming PC for $500. If it's your opinion to buy a PS4 go ahead I probably going to buy a Xbox one thought.

PS4 is better for me for many, many reasons.

1. Like you said, 100 dollars cheaper. 499 isn't outrageous, but it IS more expensive.

2. You're seriously complaining about 50 bucks a year? You'll spend 10 more on xbox Gold Membership.

3. Better exclusive games. Xbox has more exclusives, but they're lower quality games, and mostly just brain-dead shooters like CoD and sell-out EA Sports games. No thanks.

4. PSN offers better perks than Gold membership. A free download a month with superior indie developers on the marketplace, like Supergiant Games, Young Horses, and so on, and EIGHTEEN free games when you first join, discounts on games you can buy at the store, etc.

5. The xbox Kinect thing is weird. You have to admit.

6. You can't share games (easily) on the XBO.

7. Connecting your xbox to the internet every 24 hours or it doesn't work... kinda sucks.

8. Low-quality hardware on the XBO. Only 8 GB of DDR3 RAM which won't allow graphical optimization, and 3 GBs of which are used to run the operating system alone.

For the record, you're really not making it sound like a question. It sounds like you've already made up your mind on what YOU think is superior, so who cares what others think? I'm gonna have my own opinion, regardless of what you think, and I think the XBO sucks. These are just all the positives for me, and the only positive that an XBO gives me over PS4 is... really, nothing.

v In response to Alex v

You are wrong. 49.99 for 1 year subscription to PSN. 59.99 for 1 year subscription to XBox Gold.

It's okay if you want to be a fanboy, just get your facts straight. I'll link the sources below.

You don't know that's what the Kinect's "always on" policy will be for, as I don't either.

But I DO know that's not sharing your game. That's just bringing your game over to a friend's house. What if you want to lend your buddy your game you've beaten, and want to continue playing your new game? Can't do it. That's not easy, that's a hassle. Have fun with your skewed logic and weak gaming platform.

i think they are both great products. I would give the edge to ps4 BUT in the long run i would said xbox one. It has a much greater potential for growth n expansion without having to buy a new product. Always being hooked up to the internet does suck sometimes but i mean really all of your consoles are already hooked up to the internet 24/7 anyway. If you travel alot then im sorry but odds are you are traveling for business anyway so maybe you should pay attention to work instead of killing 12 year old on call of duty. And for the goverment spying on you, really???? why dont u just move the hell out of the US and see how rough it is living in a place where they do spy on u. but all in all we will jsut have to wait and see!

- Xbox Live Gold is actually about 30% cheaper than Playstation Plus, and with Xbox you get two free full console games per month, as well as the 300,000 servers that MS have been building up over time thanks to the subscription in previous years. The online infrastructure is just better, because of that.

- Sharing games couldn't be easier, I'll be able to go round to my friends' houses, log in and access ALL of my games, no need to bring a disc with me.

- Nothing wrong with Kinect, you can disable most of it, and when the console's off it's literally just listening for 'Xbox On' - and that's it.

you don't know what your talking about. Ps4

is 100 dollars cheaper in the USA than the Xbox one and it can do more. It has gddr5

Which is 50% stronger than ddr3 on the Xbox one. it is faster and it looks better. Exclusives are better and the controller is better. xbox one is a p.o.s that no one will buy

I agree with you. People won't read the detail. Xbox one enables friends to share games that you don't have. Microsoft is even making Xbox live marketplace like steam. It's going to be awesome and truely next-gen.

ps4 isn't just upgraded. it is way better in all aspects. you're the blind one if you think xbox 1 is a better console
