What I currently have: Roxio Game Capture

What it does badly: Laggy editing software, lack of capability, poor bad quality font and effects, often glitches and makes sound quality odd (could be result of laptop) Lots of wires, no HD quality
You can't play in HD while recording

What I want: A Good HD Capture Card that records in full HD and LETS ME PLAY IN FULL HD (because I suck with bad quality). Good editing software with good effects, easy to use/record etc.
If possible not many wires. No common glitches etc.

I know the HD PVR 2 is the common choice but can you guys give me a bit of variety? Just tell me what YOU think is best and why?

i use the hdpvr2 gaming edition although i might be swapping to the elgato game capture,(for the software) and size the hdpvr lets you record in 1080p and i think the elgato does the same, though not certain.

i hope this helps BTW i have a you tube channel using the hdpvr 2 and you should check it out to test the quality : joejoemartin123

1st, the Roxio Game Capture DOES let you play in HD, 720p.

2nd, the Elgato capture card is getting great reviews. 1080p, and it's small.

the main inexpensive place could be Amazon, you would be no longer ordinary pressed to discover one as sturdy for below a $a hundred markup at a brick and mortar save. As for my advice (a million: Google it, don't be lazy), a million) Blackmagic intensity professional (google it); and 2) Hauppauge HD PVR (google it). On Amazon, they are going to run you a sprint under $200, sturdy success everywhere else. Edit: kit while offered by Amazon, perhaps $50. ultimate purchase? extra like $a hundred-$one hundred thirty (only cables and a splitter).
