How can I cancel my xbox live gold subscription?

I've been trying to cancel my xbox live gold subscription for a while now. And last night I realized that I can't. A friend of mine says that I can call an 0800 number to cancel my gamertag. But I live in a third world country, so 0800 numbers tend to never work And I don't want to Janel the gamertag, I just want to unsubscribe. Please can someone tell me step by step how I can cancel it via the xbox360 itself or by computer.

I subscribe to things all the time and I've never seen a company blatantly make it so difficult to unsubscribe.

The only way you can cancel is by calling them. But you don't need to cancel just don't renew.

as quickly as your entered the prepaid code its already registered. no might desire to cancel it, yet while ur paying monthley call microsoft and attempt to cancel it, you like your information including password and stuff. if that doesnt artwork cancel ur credit card 0_o
