Xbox 360 reads games as DVDs?

Whenever I put a Xbox 360 game in my 360 it reads it as a dvd, is there a way to fix this?

You can also try turning the console off for 30 seconds and starting it back up. This is currently happening to me. I think down the road we will both need to have the dvd drive replaced, however I am going to be doing it myself.

Take it to a shop or sell it. The best place to sell is amazon. I sold a broken ps2 that only played ps1 games for 60 bucks, and Gamestop wanted to give me 30 if I had the cables and one ps2 controller, which I didn't.
