Two christmas's ago my brother asked for an xbox 360, now common sense says that it would be for the family, and my parents got us one on condition that we dont argue or bicker, thats not the problem. The problem is hes very possesive, ive been his step bro for 12years and he feels as if everything in the house is his. He keeps it in his room, he invites his friends over everyday, they eat everything, and when ppl try to sleep for school and work hes blasting music and games. He plays 9hrs a day, and when I have a day off of work I attempt to play but he throws fits at 17. He should get a job. My sister gave up playing because he doesnt let her play.

Now that you have a little background here's the situation. We used the free 1 month Xbox live membership and then upgraded to the gold membership. When we got to the payment option screen we enetered our card code in and paid for a subscription, while doing that my sis asks my bro if it will pay for all of our accounts and he told her yeah (i was at work while that happened, my sis told me when I got home). This morning on my day off I log on and it says im not allowed to play MW3 I need to pay.

I bought the card and the billing address is to my apartment and my bro used the card on his account im guessing. So did I miss something, or does it really only go to one account? Do I need multiple xbox cards for other accounts? I think my bro was being a little stingy.

If you buy Xbox live it'll only work for 1 account, unless you buy the family deal or whatever. You'll need to get another card for another account if you want to play. I'm pretty sure your step-brother lied or something.

The prepaid cards only work for one account. You would need to buy several or buy a Family Plan on the console or xbox.com to allow multiple accounts to be Gold. The family one is the best deal if you have 2 or more accounts.

an xbox live gold card can only be used for one profile. if you have multiple xbox accounts on your xbox you have to pay gold separately for each one. you could get the xbox live family package for 99.99 which gives gold to 4 profiles on your xbox. it is a lot of money spent in the long run and what sucks even though loyal subscribers like myself pay for 3 accounts I still have to be inundated with Ads all over the dashboard. i sometimes wonder what they do with my money.
