Xbox Live help, MTU Settings?

Right, last night i was playing on xbl prefectly, then all of a sudden it disconnects me, I troubleshoot the problem and it said I need to change my MTU Settings, i have googled this. The top conclusion is xbl is having an update, xbl is not having an update because all of my friends are on it, telling me to come online, so any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Type in your IP address into your address bar on your web browser, and then change the channel of your router. I recommend channel one or two. I had this same problem, and by changing the channel of the router, it fixed it.

I CAN ONLY ANSWER ONCE AND HOPE THIS DOESNT SOMEHOW VIOLATE THE COMMUNITY GUIDELINES. SAVE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION, YOUR MONEY AND MANY HEADACHES AND BUY ANY OTHER SYSTEM BUT THE 360. ALL IVE HAD IS NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH MINE. THEIR LIVE SYSTEM IS ALWAYS MESSING UP AND ITS LIKE HECK TRYING TO CONNECT MOST OF THE TIME. THE MIKES YOU BUY TO TALK TO OTHER PEOPLE DONT LAST MORE THAN A COUPLE MONTHS BEFORE U GOTTA GO BUY A NEW ONE. OH YEAH AND STUPIDLY IM ON MY 4TH 360(IVE GOT SOME FRIENDS THAT LOVE LIVE) THE OTHER 3 GOT THE RED RINGS OF DEATH JUST DAYS AFTER THE WARRANTIES RAN OUT. OH YEAH AND YOU CAN GET SUSPENDED FROM LIVE FOR PUTTING ON YOUR BIO EVEN THE SMALLEST THING THAT GOES AGAINST THEIR CODE OF CONDUCT. TRUST ME UNLESS YOU WANNA DEAL WITH THESE PROBLEMS A 360 IS A BAD INVESTMENT. AND OH YEAH IF YOU HAVE A 360 SELL OR TRADE IT IN AND BUY A PS3 OR ANY OTHER SYSTEM OUT THERE.

I'm assuming your xbox is connected to a router. change the router mtu size back to default should be 1492. Here's how to check the MTU size on the routers.
